Over the winter months I have done an extensive amount of work to my 2015 Ram. I was hunting for an overhauled 68rfe and most companies were a month or worse lead time on a build. I called the boys at Suncoast and Ellison hooked me up with a build specific to my truck, shipped to my local shop here in Illinois within a week. Can't say enough about the customer service from the buying experience to the warranty and core return service. These guys do a good job. Now to see how long this transmission lasts.....so far so good!

So let’s start this out. I’ve bought a stage 2 kit with there e drum for a 10r80 from suncoast though Bobby Ducote and dealt with Ernie there tech support. Well I had an issue come up Ernie stayed in touch with me all the way ended up being a snap ring failure which can’t be foreseen. Ernie talked me through everything and was helpful so much. His knowledge and his racing experience is amazing and the conversations with him I will def can’t wait to have more with him. The transmission works as it should no issue. I called Ernie and gave him the good news I’m looking to work with suncoast further on and pushing the 10r80 platform with there kit.

A modern yet old-school shop. Modern in that you will find what you need and old school in their customer service. I bought a part for my truck transmission and from the initial conversation (with Alec) to having it in my hands there was never a question of whether it would fit or its state. But, it did not arrive on time. I thought “Yep, this shop was too good to be true.” It turned out it was the carrier’s fault. I got on the phone just to inform the shop of my disappointment and to my surprise, the old school customer service action happened: Getting a refund on the difference because of the carrier’s mistake!
You see, in this world of appearances and of people acting as if they are smarter than you (Newsflash, you are not. You are like a child, we see you coming but you are not my child so I can’t whip you), this action by the shop makes you feel like the interaction is…fair, as in THIS IS THE WAY AMERICA IS.
Anyway, I now have this shop on my list of favorites. I also have to commend Alec for his knowledge, professionalism and caring. Recommend 100%!

I ordered the 68RFE stage 2 kit. Had no issues receiving my core money on the converter. Tech support was extremely knowledgeable and helped me fix an issue I was having. All the parts were well packaged and of high quality. Instructions were well written and easy to follow. I will use them again if I ever need transmission parts!

I shopped around a couple places for a 10R140 and Ellison at Suncoast was the best I’ve dealt with, followed through at every step of the transaction. He also put me in touch with their technician, Montana, who spent quite a while with me on the phone walking me through the install. The best 10R140 on the market and great customer service.

I purchased a category 3 rebuild kit for my 10L1000 which was over $2800.00. I tried extensively on my own looking for a builder for the 10L1000’s and couldn’t find one. I then called Suncoast to see if they had builders they had a relationship with. I called every builder Suncoast recommended and they did not want to touch these particular transmissions either. The builders warned me that these kits are NOT a direct drop in and they need machining, this is a detail Suncoast failed to mention in the descriptions. Regardless I called Suncoast to inform them of me not being able to find a builder and if I can return the kit. They said would be a 15% restocking fee, I asked if we can split the fee, I stated I was not an unreasonably person and that I tried extensively to find a builder and this was not entirely my fault. Well I get an email this morning that they weren’t reasonable and kept $450 for doing absolutely nothing. What a bad way to do business. So sad, I had high hopes, boy was I wrong. What goes around comes around.

Update: I was contacted by accounting and they refunded the restocking fees immediately. I added 2 stars because I never had a chance to try out this kit and prove to some that it could have been a good kit for us hotshot guys with 10L1000’s. I was really looking fwd to it but I guess it wasn’t meant to be.
