Great beach, clean, well patrolled by police. Very soft white sand. Some quick food options like pizza and ice cream.Parking is a bit tricky as you have to circle around to find it or come early. Some detours as they are doing construction on the roundabout. Traffic to be expected.

The beach deserves the five star rating. It is wide and flat with firm sand. Great for walking. Lots of food and drink options near the beach.

Getting there, walking, and parking are currently a three star rating.
Due to hurricane recovery construction and renovations, many roads are narrowed with construction barrels or cones. It's immediately evident once you reach the bridge, traffic slows to a crawl. Once we crossed the bridge we turned right and found public parking at the next right.
I think we pre-paid $24 for 4 hours. As we were leaving the area, we received a text letting us know that our 4 hour time was almost up and we could add extra parking time from our phone.

Trying to leave the Fort Myers Beach, we had to follow detour signs. It was slow-go but all our turns were rights and the road took us directly onto the bridge.

The parking lots, streets and sidewalks seemed crowded but the beach had plenty of space for walking, sunbathing or beach games.

Lots of shopping, eating, drinking locations along the beach and access roads. The Margaritaville lobby, gift shop, outside vendor booths, and outdoor bars need to be experienced.

The area is still recovering from hurricane damage so please be patient and understanding. And, support the businesses that are up and running again.

Lots to see and do! There was a pier at one point but I think it was destroyed by hurricanes. Beaches were nice and clean!

Though very busy, it's a great beach. The rebuild from the hurricane seems to be moving along, traffic is a little congested right down town and crossing the bridge but it's such a beautiful area.

Hurricane recovery underway. Multiple stores are closed. Loud due to buildings being demolished. Pier is being rebuilt. Traffic is a nightmare.

The biggest disappointment is all of the people who refuse to keep their dogs home. There are signs everywhere NO ANIMALS. yet they were everywhere.. Ugh... come on, people. I totally understand if they are service dogs. But overall, the beach is definitely coming back to life after the hurricanes..
