Over $100 a month For Wi-Fi That glitches for most of everyday. My friend just referred me to a Wi-Fi that is $70 a month and works much better then this When I am at her house!

For the geography and infrastructure they have to work with, they do miracles. They make some unusual decisions, but the amazing customer service can help you get things how you need them no matter what.
Speeds are only comparable to cities if you live in town. Which to me is beyond understandable. They will eventually get higher speed internet to the further out places, but that will take time.

I have the gold package and it is much faster than the 80mps satellite internet I'm replacing! Beware of satellite competitors selling you higher speeds. Competing traffic will give you a slower experience, especially if you are VDI-ing through multiple data hubs. I require a reliable VDI connection for work and I haven't had any lag issues so far. It's just like working in the office. Thank you, Sierra Tel - you are a life saver!

Overall, I've had a great experience with Sierra Tel. The fact that I live 1.5 miles down a dirt road in a very isolated area AND I get decently reliable DSL is a miracle. I'm able to do all of remote video calls (Skype & Zoom) from my home office with only minimal issues once in a while. I subscribe to the "Gold" package which is the highest level of service available to me in my area. Eventually, we may even see some plan that will include a fiber connection, but that may be a year or so before that's available. For now, I'm just grateful to have good reliable internet.

As someone who has lived all over the country, this is by far the worst internet provider I've ever seen. Despicable.
