The reservation process was easy and the location of office was easily accessible... Unfortunately, the description of the unit (including what was supposedly inside the unit) was not accurate! As soon as we walked into the unit, we found dead crunchy moths EVERYWHERE, which immediately told me that this unit had not been cleaned before we arrived. The microwave is broken and someone had attached duct tape to the inside to keep the door on... needless to say, we could not use it. There was food crumbs ALL over the fitted sheet that was on the sofa bed. There were dirty socks left from someone else inside the couch and on the bathroom floor. The DVD player was nowhere to be found. Cable was not hooked up... There was cables hanging down the wall from the back of the tv... no idea whatsoever what they were for... The ceiling fan and light upstairs in the loft were not working either... I was sent an email asking for my review. And the link in that email also doesn't work... There were lights burnt out inside the unit... Obviously it hasn't been maintained the way it is supposed to be.... The unit itself has potential if it was cleaned properly and maintained. But my family and I will opt for another reservation company next time... I did not pay this much money to stay in a dirty condo!!! (Hidden Valley)

We booked our Thanksgiving stay through Mammoth Reservations. This is our third booking with them. I think we are going to continue to use them for our future visits. We go multiple times every season for ski camps, training and competitions.

Check-in/Check out:
We checked in/out after office hours. Our unit does not use key code so we have to stop by the office to do so. It is not as convenient as key code but not a big issue while stopping by while we come and leave.

The unit:
They manage a large number of units and everyone of them is different. So look carefully, do research and select carefully. We are happy with ours. There were some small utility issues but nothing needed urgent repair while we were there. The company did respond promptly and offered immediate repair if we needed it.

Staff:
We had a few email exchanges and one phone call. The staff are always professional and helpful.

Athletic Club:
One huge benefit of booking through Mammoth Reservation is that you can use the swimming pool, gym and hot tub at the Athletic Club.

Beware, Beware, Beware!

This establishment processes reservations for people visiting Mammoth. The staff is not all that attentive and gives the impression they could care less..

Looking at the company profile it appears they manage lower and rentals as well as higher end rentals. When a person spends $12K for 4 days, there is a level of expedition in service that is assumed.

The rental for the specific unit rented (2088 Greystone) advertised a host of included amenities. My experience was not what was advertised. Here are some of the deficiencies experienced:
1) cracked china
2) "coffee included" but a single use bag provided
3) "seasoning included" jars were empty
4) exterior door complete split open
5) grill was not cleaned by any standard
6) fire pit did not work
7) exterior seating advertised not provided
8) protection covers are aged and torn
9) toothbrush was left from last renter not removed by cleaning staff

Called the office with the deficiency elements to be told, someone will be there.... No one ever showed up.

I do not/would not recommend this agency, If you have no other choice, log everything, bring to there attention, and if you don't receive satisfaction, call your credit card company and demand a dispute, to list "services as promised we're not received".

This place couldn't care less about the guest. Please exercise caution!

Our group rented from mammoth reservations,
Be sure to record the condition of the whole place. They charged a 130 dollars for a scratch on their table which wasn’t done by our group.
After contacting their support they would not even waive that fee.
The place we did get was nice.
Also they skimp on amenities like trash bags and laundry detergent, and paper towels. Be sure to bring your own and factor that into your trip costs

This was the first time that I walked into a unit in Mammoth managed by Mammoth Reservation and it was immaculate clean. I am very happy with how they have taken the constructive criticism and implemented better service.

Summit #258 - We paid nearly $700 for three nights in August and left after the second night. The bed takes up nearly the entire tiny bedroom and is hard as a rock. The pillows are like flat pieces of cardboard. No air conditioning (and on the third floor so it was hot), so had to open windows, but being right over the pool area we had noisy familes and dogs barking for hours into the night. And yet there's a sign in the unit saying remove your shoes and walk softly. We think the description of the condo should mention some of these things. If you're looking for a peaceful mountain retreat, this is not it. We left exhausted and disappointed. Renter beware.

I’ve used Mammoth Reservations on several occasions and have had a great experience every time! The rentals are always super clean and well stocked and match the photos online. The staff is great and has always been responsive when I’ve had questions. My recent stay was at a one bedroom with a loft and it was such a good deal for a group of four with enough space, plenty of parking, and located in a quiet complex. It was walking distance to town and right by the shuttle. I would highly recommend using Mammoth Reservations as I think it is a better experience and better value than the hotels and I feel it is more reliable than renting from individual owners on AirBnB if anything ever goes wrong.
