4 of us stayed in the stargazer 1. It was a great stay. It dropped to the low 50's at night. The heater kept the place quit comfortable. The property was beautiful. The trails were not difficult to hike on and well maintained. The best part had to be the staff and their hospitality. They were very friendly and took care of everything we needed promptly. The store even had some last minute supplies at reasonable prices. I highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a getaway into nature.

Great cozy and private campsite. Owner was super nice and very accommodating! He even gave us his personal phone number if we needed anything. Bathrooms were in pristine shape and the hot water was much needed. We had the best time and plan to make this an annual trip.

I went tent camping here and it was amazing! The staff were kind and like family, the general store was very nice and air-conditioned, there are some awesome plans in place for the clubhouse, and it wasn't expensive either! The bathrooms and showers were free, the campsites were clear, nicely shaded, and there were a lot of options for campgrounds if you wanted to be more isolated or closer to others. The log cabins and RVs looked nice, I never had a chance to really look in them, but the tent-camping was awesome! They even brought out a nice, steel firepit for each of the tent campers! The owner truly went above and beyond to ensure that people had a great time, and that they were adequately prepared. By the way, the general store sells about everything you need for primitive camping, or for RV camping. I also saw a bunch of people with swimming trunks because there is a nice pool, (or so I've heard. I never got to see the pool myself. I was too distracted by all the games we played!) This was truly a wonderful experience and I will definitely be sure to come back, especially when it gets a little cooler!

I spent 1 night here tent camping. The tent spots are awesome, very secluded. I felt like I spent a night in the woods all by myself but was in the safe confines of the campground. The cave is really cool. Staff (I think he might have been the owner) was very helpful.

We arrived on a Sunday with easy check in un-packed our vehicles with kids and camping equipment, the kids enjoyed the loft area in the cabin, there was plenty of room for the five of us. when we were not grilling we were cooking on the stove and enjoying the ac. the trails were great experience for the kids. we all loved the trip, and are ready to go back .

We went this past weekend for the first time out with our Pop Up . Everyone is so friendly and Steve is easy to deal with and will to lend a helping hand when someone needs it. All in all we really enjoyed the week end. We are glad we got to enjoy the Grand Opening of the Bama Campground & RV Park.

Sincerely,
Mary and Marty Vaughn

Only the second campground I’ve ever stayed at but it’s my favorite ? I chose Bama Campground because I chase waterfalls and wanted to hike around the Bankhead Forest for the weekend. It was a perfect choice

We booked a primitive site for hammock camping. It has enough space for a tent and great strong trees for hammocks. We also added a fire ring to our reservation and there was fire wood cut for us when we arrived!

The shower house was my favorite because we live off grid at home, so we don’t have electricity and running water. A shower after a long day of hiking is a luxury! The campground was well maintained and clean, we didn’t get to check out any of the campground trails because we had planned that for our last day, but a storm sent us home early.

The customer service is top tier. Missy is so patient and kind, she has patience from God Himself! I’d definitely come back here and recommend anyone to stay here.

I hope they got rid of thier management from over a year ago. I paid a month in advance for a camper. My water lines broke at the house I was renting, so I needed the camper until I could get back in the rental house. I had 2 children with me. One had autism. In the 10 days I actually stayed, someone would mess with my breaker. It was in January. We would be huddled up in the cold. I would call the on premise management, and they wouldn't awnser the phone. I would get chewed out for knocking. We never got one night peaceful sleep. I paid 1200. 200 of it being a deposit.I finally packed my family up and went to stay with friends. I am glad the owner fixed the place up, but if it's the same shady management from a year ago, it will turn in slum all over again. I will never step back on that property again. I respect people, not people who only respect people if they have money. I will only spend my money where people are treated with respect.
