Good store for quick stop, get grilling items, hardware or whatever for home projects. I like its easier to find things compared to big box store and the staff are always friendly and helpful. If you shop at local savemart, every receipt has a $5 off coupon on back.

I’ve been to this local hardware store a few times, and I’ll admit it’s a nice, modern place, well-stocked for the small community it serves. Generally, I’ve had good experiences—particularly with the female employees, who have always been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Unfortunately, my recent visit was a different story, and it all came down to terrible customer service.

I picked up a Milwaukee wrench set from the tool section, priced at around $180. I added a few more items to my cart and went to check out. At the counter, there were two male clerks—using the term “clerk” loosely, because one would expect a clerk to actually provide good service. When they rang up the wrench set, they noticed one wrench was missing from the package. I suggested a simple solution: why not just add a single wrench of the same size to complete the set, and I’d buy it that way? Seemed like a fair and easy fix.

But no. These two male clerks refused to help, claiming that doing so would mess up their inventory control system. So instead of providing a solution and making the sale, they flat-out said they couldn’t sell it to me. All because they didn’t want to take a few seconds to adjust their inventory. I needed the wrench set, and the solution was right there, but they were either too lazy or too clueless to prioritize customer service over a minor inconvenience to their system.

It’s frustrating because this is a nice store with helpful employees otherwise, but having male employees at the register who are too lazy or too incompetent to care about customer service ruins the whole experience. It’s like how one bad waitress can wreck a restaurant’s reputation—one careless, lazy employee can destroy the perception of an otherwise good business.

Customer service and perception are everything, and on my recent visit, this store failed miserably at both.

A little more expensive, then Lowes and Home Depot, but the trade off is that you get better customer service and a clean organized environment. I absolutely LOVE their bulk specialty screws and hard to find parts like washers, pins, clips etc...

A great selection of hardware and very knowledgeable, helpful staff. The prices were reasonable too. I discovered a few hard to find items such as ceramic crocks too.
